Ministries

BETTER TOGETHER

The Be In Christ church has long understood the benefit of cooperating together by pooling resources to provide ministries and programs that many churches could not do on their own. We call the collection of denominational funds ‘Cooperative Ministries.’ Each church is encouraged to give 10% of their budget to Cooperative Ministries.

Throughout the decades of Cooperative Ministries giving we have been able to operate a beautiful camp in northern Muskoka, plant dozens of churches including The Meeting House which is now a church of 6000 people, operate youth and young adults programs and many other ministries, some that are listed below, that have impacted tens of thousands of people of all ages all around the world.

As well, Cooperative Ministries giving, allows the denomination to provide congregational services such as group benefits, payroll and pension services.

flow internship

The FLOW Internship Program is an initiative to develop young Christian leaders. Young adults (age 18-25) are employed for ministry roles by churches throughout southern Ontario from May to August. During that time they also attend high impact retreats focused on leadership development and spiritual formation.

Our mission is to help young adults grow as leaders, realize their potential, and experience the significant role they can play in the world.

Global Partnerships

Throughout our history, the BIC has developed relationships with brothers and sisters in three major regions of the world: central and south Africa, southeast Asia and Central America. Through the generosity of our donors, we are able to send financial support to a variety of projects in these regions.

Our child sponsorship program is called the Nepal PEACE Project, a child education initiative. Believing that education is a passport for children to a better future, we have partnered with the church in Nepal to provide educational help for children that would not otherwise receive it.
